No I do not like George Bush. He is not in touch with "average" people. He dose not know what it is like to have to choose between new shoes or paying your electric bill. He has made some very bad decisions and I don't think he understands why the public is mad at him. I think the person who runs this country should be able to put themselves in the shoes of the Middle Class. Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan, and Bill Clinton all grew up middle class or poor. They understood the problems we have to face everyday.

I have a problem with an elected official who has sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution, but refers to it as "just a g*d*mn piece of paper". And who actively finds ways to violate constitutional provisions. At last count, Bush has managed to bypass parts of Articles I, III, IV, VI, and the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th Amendments. Just based on what he's admitted doing.
I have a problem with a president who has the duty to faithfully execute the laws, but feels like the can ignore any law that doesn't serve his agenda. And who is arrogant enough to put in writing that he doesn't intend to obey the law. Warrantless wiretaps are a violation of FISA, and Bush admits to doing them because he says the law doesn't apply to him. And then he adds signing statements to laws, like the one prohibiting torture, that basically say he reserves the right to ignore this law whenever he wants.
I have a problem with a member of the executive branch who feels like he can ignore Supreme Court orders with impunity, and who argues that the courts have no oversight or authority to question his actions. The Supreme Court ordered that prisoners in Gitmo be given access to attorneys, and it took almost two years for the US to comply. And now the president and attorney general are arguing that the courts do not have authority to hear cases where people are alleging constitutional violations.
I also have a problem with a man who cannot admit when he was wrong, and who lies about what he said just to cover his own mistakes. No need to go into details, just watch re-runs of old press conferences.
Being a politician in this day and age generally means being self-serving, out-of-touch, deceitful, and untrustworthy. We just have to accept that. But willful and deliberate violation of federal law, ignoring the constitution and breaching one's oath of office are grounds for impeachment.
And still 30% of the population thinks those things are OK.

Don't like George. I think he's dishonest and sneaky. For an explanation, I can do no better than coragryph. I think that about covers it.

I think he'd be fun to hang out with on his Texas ranch - but I don't think he ever should have entered politics.
