Well Gordon, you seem to have been given plenty of free advice as to wether or not to finance your purchase to which I say fu*k em and feed em dic*heads they're not making your payments or lending you the money. Your question was where to GET financing, if you have a large enough down payment any Harley dealership in your area can get you financed.

Look in the mirror. There you'll see the person that's going to finance you for a new motorcycle...there's fly-by-night financing, and the insurance guys that work with em on that, how much money you have in your wallet? LOL If you've got that much, why play with financing....a new bike, especially a Harley, will cost you 10 grand easy. If you cant' save up 10 grand in 6-8 months,
save whatever you can for that period of time, and buy something used. That's what you can afford...credit is the devil...

Before hitting the pavement with your Fat-Boy, you need to address the credit issue. What is your basis for saying you're in "trouble"? Are the three credit reporting companies reporting you correctly? First you need to check your credit reports and look at why your credit is in trouble. Are you already over extended? Already over an acceptable debt to income threshold? Recently fixed past issues that just haven't cleared yet? Typically it takes a couple months for credit companies to update the accounts they report. If you've done all you can to fix what issues you have, your best option is to either buy used, or just sit and wait.

You can always find someone to finance. But you will PAY the price. The interest rates are outragous. Just like with cars. I have a friend that pays 24% on a KIA..... I would think twice.

I am not sure you want to take on one more payment at this time. Maybe if you get out of your money trouble first and then a finance company would be more willing to help you. I hope this was helpful.

Most dealerships will get you financing regardless of credit. That's their business, to sell motorcycles. If you have a paying job and can produce a pay stub from said job, consider yourself a motorcycle owner. Check with a salesman at your dealer.

Would you consider saving some money every month, and buying a used one? Or do you really want a new one? Maybe a friend or relative will finance you.
