I went to control panel and set yahoo as my homepage in the internet options section, but everytime I type in yahoo for my homepage and I hit apply and ok, it goes back to the homepage that was there before, which was google. How do I fix this? Even if I click use default or use blank it still doesnt work. Can someone help me?
(Originally I did have yahoo, but someone who used this computer must have accidentally clicked on google to make it the home page...now I cant go back to yahoo, it keeps going to google.)

You can set any internet web page as your home page from inside Internet Explorer by clicking on "TOOLS" (between "Favorites and Help") then click on "Internet Options" and when the window pops up you change the default URL with the one you want to have your home page wake up as.

Go to make yahoo my home page,and your computer should do the rest,my husband does the same thing to me,he put in comcast as the home page on his sight and when he down loaded it to his it went to everyone in the family's website,sucks.I accused him of being on my site of course he said why are you hiding something!!Whatever,just because your married doesn't mean you have to stop living,and not have a personal life a life of your own.I'm still not sure if he doesn't get on my website,their should be a privacy act for our computers,or a block to download.I think he knows my pass word for my mail,anybody that can type worth a darn can watch over your shoulder when your on line.Today mine came up comcast again I'm just going to change it back on my yahoo page,it works.

It sounds like you might have a program running that you don't know about, which keeps your homepage at Google. Go to your control panel and then to add/remove programs. Scroll through the list to see if you have a rogue toolbar installed.

If you are using internet explorer, then in the Internet Explorer program you go to "Tools", "Internet Options", and the top bar of the window that pops up allows you to change your homepage.

If you use Firefox, it is "Tools", "Options", and then it is also a bar in a window that will open.

As far as another browser like Netscape, it should be a similar process, but I dont have it to check, sorry.

You can try doing it in the registry

Start -> Run -> Regedit -> HKEY_Local_Machine -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> Main -> Start Page (double click) -> type www.yahoo.com

Close out of registry
