I've lived in Michigan, Colorado, California, and I've been in Georgia for awhile now. No offense, but I'm not a southern boy. I'm thinking about going back out west, maybe California or I've never been to Washington State. But part of me wants to move up north to maybe Boston or anywhere on the east coast. I'm weighing all options, so give me some key points to think about from where you live or have been. Where would you live if you could move anywhere?

NYC -- loads to do, great transport, fab amenities typically at your doorstep

But even more than that I think if you have the means, go abroad. Not enough Americans do. It is liberating & mind opening. I live abroad & am very glad I made that decision. There are somethings you'll have to acclimate to or 'understand' in foreign countries but if you do your homework you will be richer for the experience. Good luck!!!

Seattle is nice, but you have to like rain, and it's getting more expensive. Portland, Or may be another option to look into. I heard that it is growing and there's no sales tax in Oregon. If you are thinking of the East Coast, you might want to look at New Hampshire. There's no sales tax or income tax, and it's not that far from Boston. Some people even commute. Boston is nice but very expensive. There are some nice areas near Philadelphia and New Jersey too. We're also looking at moving and these are areas we are considering. We're also looking at Chicago.

I myself have lived in Michigan, Florida. Texas is great, I guess in depends on what type of career your seeking or continuing with. Even the Californians are coming here.
