Dry cleaning means various ways of cleaning fabrics without water.

They used to use kerosene which made for a lot of fires at dry cleaners. Not sure what they use today.

Dry cleaning is a special method of cleaning clothes without getting them wet... Some materials are too sensitive for water. They have a new product in drug stores that you can buy, and put in the dryer for dry cleaning your clothes... I'd still rather just get it professionally done though.

Dry-cleaning is where they wash your clothes with special chemicals so that they won't be damaged if they are delicate or expensive. They call it dry-cleaning because they don't use water.
