Doing nails is a big plus. I have a eleven year old sister and she loves doing her nails, watching chick movies, and funny cartoon movies. I would have her help me cook and let her do some of the cooking. Teach her how to bake a cake, cookies etc. Then you can also do a puzzle together, or do crafts and show her how to sow. You can go to the park and play basketball or something like that. Play on www.disneychannel.com or www.barbie.com. There is so much you can do together!! Teach her how to dance...or make up some dance moves together.

10? That's a tough age. Does she like movies? Playing outside? Video games? Going for walks and just chatting? Girls at that age are probably trying to figure out for themselves what they like; too old for dress-up, too young for a job. My yonger cousin enjoys board games a lot, and playing cards, and the glass bead jewelry I make for her. She also enjoys crafts, and cooking/baking simple recipes. She's an extrodinarily easy child to entertain, though; she's not shy about telling you what she's interested in doing, and she won't pitch a fit if she can't for some reason, as long as you explain it.

Try painting ceramics or pearler beads are a great thing. You'll need an iron for them. Do girl things, paint nails, toes, have some fun?Let her decide what she wants to do and then do it.

you can do arts and crafts, watch a movie (and have some popcorn), maybe make some desserts, play some board games, go eat at friendly's and get some ice cream, go to the park..

You can do crafts... watch the dreadful martha stewart show with her and follow the simple minded directions... or you can color... teach her to sew.. make cakes and brownies something easy she can retain... there are tons of ideas..

Paint her fingernails and do her hair and let her put on a fashion show for her parents when they get home. Or let her bake cookies or cupcakes.
