Simple. None have run and been designated by their party, and it's doubtful that one will make it that far, the next time around. The world as we know it is in a dangerous situation. The next president has got to be on top of his game. He must be someone who, like Bush, will stand up to those who want to threaten the US. I suppose diplomacy is important, too, however a strong and courageous leader like Rudy Giuliani would more appropriately fill the bill.
We don't need this politically correct nonsense when a lunatic like Kim Jong Il is pointing his rockets our way. I see no need to patronize a Hillary Clinton type when Putin of Russia is building his own axis power to use against the US. I see no value in considering a Barbara Boxer or Nancy Pelosi when China and Iran are preoccupied with not being our friends.
I believe these women need to sit tight for kinder, gentler times, when we can afford to give their bid for president some reasonable consideration.

I believe men were created to lead, protect, provide and put their feelings aside when making a decision. The president of the United States should be a God-fearing man and have an open ear and be married to a loving, nurturing, educated woman loving him and meeting all his needs so he can concentrate on leading our country and keeping our country protected us from harms way and making this a better world for us to live in. Hillary was more into making her own career she failed to be a wife first and what kind of a role model is that...it just looks cold and goal oriented...I think she should have been a little more real and honest...either she was using their marriage for her own gains or she is no way in tune with her own feelings...if she can't get the public's sympathy when her husband cheated on her with Monica Lewinsky, something is just wrong. I remember when I heard the news of Clinton cheating with Monica Lewinsky and I could totally see how that bad judgement could happen but when he lied on oath to the whole world I dedided they deserved each other. Laura Bush is an awesome role model for young women and is still making a difference in the world without losing her feminity or her man but I would not want her to be our president either. I prefer to be led by a man and believe that is man's God given right and as long as there is a man brave enough to lead this country,...he'll have my vote against any woman.

How Enron Worked the President ... (This is an interesting bit of information that you don't hear much about.)
A.. Enron's chairman did meet with the president and the vice president in the Oval Office.
B.. Enron gave $420,000 to the president's party over three years.
C.. It donated $100,000 to the president's inauguration festivities.
D.. The Enron chairman stayed at the White House 11 times.
E.. The corporation had access to the administration at its highest level and even enlisted the Commerce and State Departments to grease deals for it.
F.. The taxpayer-supported Export-Import Bank subsidized Enron for more than $600 million in just one transaction.
Scandalous!!
BUT... the president under whom all this happened WASN'T George W. Bush ! ! ! !
SURPRISE.....It was Bill Clinton!
I don't usually ask anyone to do this, but in this case: Pass it on! The Media won't!
ARE YOU READY FOR MRS. CLINTON ?? I hope not!!

We can't be happy with either Republicans or Democrats,
what makes you think we, as a nation, are ready to have a female president. And, there are some nations that would
think we have lost our minds electing a woman to have such
power over a country. Many middle east countries won't take
us serious if that happens. No, its not the right time for a woman
president, but I do hope the next few generations can elect one.

Social culture and ideology. Women haven't long had the social roles to be in line for becoming the President. I think it will happen one day, give society time. Look at all the press attention being given to H Clinton and Rice, and the possibility of either of them becoming the next President.

I think women have been presidents and prime ministers; simply not in America (but surely in many muslim countries - Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia to name a few).
So, America being a Christian nation, actually does look down upon women more than people think. Its all about being sexist, and conservative.
Time to change America.

Because most women ain't as arrogant as men to think they have all the answers for such a complex job. Nor would they want their privacy taken away and their lives looked at like an anal probe. If my wife were pres. and someone called her what they call Bush and it was her time of the month she would bytch slap them into week lol.

I have to wonder - in the War on Terror, would we have such cooperation from Islamist countries if our President were a woman?
Considering the likely consequences, perhaps now is not the time to make that leap.

First of all because a woman has never run for President. I would be open to a woman President as long as it was not Hillary Clinton!
