Very illegal and not at all safe. You will download all sorts of spyware that will never come off your PC. Better to stay away from P2P programs all together.

bearshare can be unsafe and it isn't very legal. but its not like people check the servers to see if anyone is downloading illeagally. at least not yet. i don't think they'll get to it.

It can be safe if you don't download exe or zip files...But it's not legal.

I got a really bad virus from it that wiped out all my favorites. I wouldn't use it if I were you.

Any "share" program is bad for your computer.
It always others to access your computer.
