Although I like both, and not sure why they are being compared, I would have to definately say my favorite by far is Freddie and here's why:

He was simply a brilliant song writer, just take a look at the history of Queen's music vs Steve Miller's... it's pretty obvious..
Plus,
He was an amazing vocalist, whose range far surpassed Steve's, and could play multiple instruments as well..

He was one of the best front men of all time, with a incredible stage persona that captured the audience's attention immediately, and held it there.

his vocal ability has inspired many artists (including myself!) and the stories his (Brian May's and/or Queen's) music/lyrics tells are deep and meaningful.

So he in my book is more rounded... but I dont claim to know a ton about Steve Miller either, and know damn well that Steve is very good at what he does. (Frankly I dont think its fair to compare one artist to another. Especially ones who are this different and diverse).

The music they wrote was inspiring, complicated, progressive and I admire what they accomplished. Even though the band is still going (or at least a couple of the member are still touring)
Queen is not the same without Freddie. His fun and energetic live performances and talents are deeply missed. He was an incredible artists, and I personally have him as one of my all time favorite artists and have had the pleasure of covering some of their music live.

***Queen with Freddie was one of the best bands ever. They had a winning combination, and until Freddie passed away, they were very very successful in many ways.

Those successes should be the bottom line to why Freddie showed the most talent. The proof is "on record" as far as I am concerned....***

Sorry this was a bit long, but Freddie deserves the time.
I tip my hat to him. He was a great artist who is missed very much by the music world fans and family.

Rest in peace Freddie.
