I was just wondering because my fiance does it daily. Just wondering what the long term effects would be. He is 39.

pot can be nice just like a six pack of cold beer and yes it can be soothing to the mind plus body. back pain is one thing but even when your sick it can take the nasty feeling away.

Yes I smoke pot on a daily basis not really to soothe ailment just me. Kind of a high strung person and without it wound to tight to sit. As for helping with back pain not sure on that would depend on if it really relaxes you. Some people get paranoid off it and that wouldn't help your back pain. I would say try it out what could it hurt. It's not anymore addictive than the pain killers they would prescribe you for back pain. Don't smoke ditch weed tho, that won't help anything. Try to find some nice "grade A", I smoke kind bud but that gets to be a little expensive, grade A is better than ditch but not quiet Nug..... Good luck hope your back feels better

i don't do it on a daily basis but when i do, i know that i feel much better that day (no neck pain like i usually have) coming down i feel a little grumpy but for me the next day i alwasy feel so fab! I dunno it isn't a great habbit, i smoke it recreationally and i can't say i'd suggest it cause it is like addictive, but if it's just like an occasion, yea why not?
