Erm, I'm thinking some people here don't follow football/soccer and thus don't understand the booking system (yellow and red cards issued by referees for committing fouls).
Anyway, I feel sure that plenty of politicians worldwide warrant yellow cards and a good deal would deserve red cards, as well. But as I take your question to be more local in context, Patz, I'll stay closer to home.
Domestically, I would obviously issue red cards to bush, cheney and most of the high-ranking ANP senators (frist, inhofe, santorum, et al) and congressmen (delay, blunt, boehner) for war crimes, injurious domestic policy decisions (in the span of four years, they transformed a budget surplus into the worst deficit this country has ever seen), dishonest and disingenuous politics (flag-burning amendments and anti-gay rights legislation when we're at war and our economy is in shambles?!), etc.
I would also issue yellow cards to high-ranking members of the Democratic party for not doing a better job of standing up to these fascists and organizing an effective alternative platform to throw these devils out of office. The mid-term elections in November will demonstrate whether or not they've accomplished anything worthwhile and, especially, whether or not the American electorate has learned anything at all.
And finally, since his name has already come up (and he is now fated to be inexorably linked to the loathsome bush), I would give British prime minister Tony Blair a yellow card for allowing the understandably close relations between the US and UK to cloud his judgment on going to war in Iraq. That mistake has cost him dearly at home (less so abroad) and the changeover to his Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, really can't come soon enough for me.

Yea I think Man Utd deserved all the yellows. Did you see ferdinand at the end of the game. He was bad mouthing the ref because he thought he was going to get a red card. Rooneys clearly had a foul. Ronaldo as always has to dive.I am suprised there werent any red.

Jacques Chirac of France gets the Yellow card for being spineless in the face of evil, who else. Tony Blair and George Bush get the Red card for standing up to evil even if it means unpopularity. History will prove them to be right. People like Michael Moore on the other hand will be remembered as the vermin of our time.
