I was recently hired for a job, but upon a background check, they said that my references weren't what they expected. Now my references are flawless, up till my last job. After my 90 days they didnt give me benefits or a raise, so my above and beyond type of work fell to what was required of me. They didnt like this, so they fired me. At dismissal they wanted me to sign a paper with a list of accusations that were so crazy that I told them I wouldnt sign my name to that! I know this place is giving out bad information on me based on the last week or so I was there, this isnt fair, considering that everyone, even the owners, said that I was the best they ever had in that position! Who can I contact?

Do contact the labor board. What they have done is illegal. They are restricted to telling your new employer when you were hired and when you left. PERIOD.

Contact a lawyer and explain the situation to them. There may be something that they can do for you.
