i hav been on paxil,rspidal,ativan,lunsta, and now i am on xanax,lithium,and effexor...the lithium was upped 2 weeks ago so i have been on it for a month now.the xanax i have been on for 2 weeks and it hasnt been calming me down too much for the anxity..and the effexor i hav been on for months now and it hasnt been working period..i dnt wnt my doc to get mad if i tll him its not working again...pleas some advice....

You have not heard of the golden rule, have you. It's: He who has the gold, rules. You are the one that should be getting mad because he/she is not helping you all these months. That's their job. That's why you pay them. If what you are taking does not work for you, tell him/her to change the medication. That's normal because not all meds work the same way with everyone. My wife went thru a dozen meds before they found the right one that actually works for her. So, hang in there and tell him/her what's working and what's not.

If you're seeing more than one doctor you need to be sure to tell them all your taking. It sounds like your taking a lot and he should know all that you're having problems, speak up. If your not talking openly to him get another doctor.

Your doctor needs to know if it is not helping you. If all of those medicines are not helping you, maybe he/she needs to take a different route. If they do get mad, you need to find another one.

Your doctor should be trying to help you, so he shouldn't get mad. If he does, switch doctors.
