Well if you get in an accident and it is your fault you are kind of screwed. Here is a like that I found though. I think it also depends on the laws of the state your in.

They will suspend your license, give you a fine & you can get up to a year in jail... I only had to spend 5 days in jail and pay a $600.00 fine with one year probation & a 6 month suspended sentence....
Buy the insurance it is cheaper than all that crap...
I was without my license for 6 months, in jail 5 days & paid $600.00. plus I had to listen to a probation officer for one year. And I did not have an accident, just got pulled over for traveling @ 7 miles over the posted speed limit.

well in Arkansas you get a ticket up to 450. and they can tow your car
