Dude, Gandalf fell down an abyss with a giant, flaming monster...and lived (at least came back) to tell about it. Dumbledore works at a school with a bunch of kids. Gandalf would totally whip Dumbledore.

Dumbledore because he had a quite side to him that could read certain people, Gandalf had that to an extent but Gandalf implied more of a wisdom to him that helpped people out, Dumbledore has this wisdom but on top of that it seems he could still be dead and have a trick or two up his sleeve

OK Gandalf the Grey would lose to Dumbledore. But Gandalf the White would beat the stuffing out of Tumbledown. That is only my opinion.
