I am a radio broadcaster in a community radio station. I am just trying to get a feel of what listeners tastes are?
Do people really do take the time of to listen to programs on radio?
Are people shifting rapidly to satellite radio or online radio?
Where do they listen to the radio the most? In the car, At home etc.?
Would they rather listen to music on the radio or listen to news broadcasts, and talk shows on the radio?

Talk radio during the work commute, FM radio during regular driving, and iPod at work and home.

I think it will be a while til everyone wants to go to satellite radio. Who wants yet another monthly bill to pay when there's really good service available for free?

There are a good amount of people that do not like the Satellite radio deal at all. I am one of them. Some do not want to pay for radio and others like the local variety that it provides. I know that when traveling I bring some CD's and such, but if I am driving I like to flip around the local radio stations and get a feel for what is played in that area.

As far as money goes, this country complains about lack of jobs and the economy yet is willing to pay for something that is already free for them? Come on.

For the most part I basically listen to music on the radio of all sorts. I also listen for the weather and traffic reports and the occassional news show.

When people bought what was it XM to listen to that crass idiot Howard Stern, I was thinking what is wrong with people? I do not like him as you can see.

I am not so interested in news and talk shows on the radio so much as I get that on TV. However I know some that do. The cabbies here in NYC listen to the talk shows, but then being in that car all those hours I can understand that.

But that is my take on this issue I hope that I did not bore you! Have a good day! :)

Yes, I do listen to radio programs.

I only listen to the radio in the car while travelling, and only when one of two programs are on... my favorite baseball team (I love listening to games while driving), or my favorite morning show, the Greaseman. Both of these are on AM radio, actually. I very very rarely listen to FM radio.

I do know an increasing number of people shifting to satellite radio, but I have no plans to join them.

I hope that helps. If you're looking for demographic info, too, I'm 25, Female, live on the East Coast near DC, and have a college degree.

Where the radio is free and you have to pay for satelite I would have to say radio will be around for a long time the programming might change. Now one of the stations I listen to at work I only can get it online but it is still the radio station I listen to.

The two places I listen to the radio are in the car and at the pool.
I prefer the live, up-to-the-minute nature of the radio in the car rather than cd's. However when traveling I do tend to listen to music on cd only because of the unpredictable nature of the reception. I suppose the same is true at the pool. It is a way to stay in touch with civilization. I prefer music to talk shows.

Answer depends on where you are. Radio is still the cheapest way to get news and entertainment in developing/under developed countries - especially community radios. In the USA, people listen to radio while driving - for news and entertainment again though some will use CDs in their cars. Best way to get people to tune in to your community radio - if you are in a small community - is to have lots of community related news and views & phone ins - make your community radio interactive by involving the community. Lots of luck to u. cheers

I do, still listen to KHYI 95.3 FM in Dallas. Don't have XM or Sirius, just don't see the need to shell out cash for something I'll only use a few hours a month, and besides that's why I have an ipod.

My kids love Radio Disney, it's on AM in many cities.

i imagine its noticeably stupid how he talks like Melina is a ho like quite a few of the rumors are stone chilly info. The Batista element is a reality yet each and every thing else is merely hypothesis and theres no info to any of it. also why is Morrison a pu$$y for that? he's merely extra mature than each and absolutely everyone else and comes to a decision to stay out of fights that's strong. battling is regarded at as a strong element in this society which does no longer make the destiny look very brilliant for humanity. also Trish isn't the superb diva there became. She merely has a ton of fanboys. the in person-friendly words reason she grew to change into the major adventure diva is because she did each and every little element Vince advised her to do. i love her very well yet i visit type of see why Melina will be mad reason Trish has been stealing spotlights her total career.
