The Department of Human Services is always a great place to start, they can help you with the food, money and insurance for the kids. Then they will refer you to other agency depending on your needs. WIC is also a great program that gives you free formula for the baby and healthy food for the rest of your family and they provide immunization shot at low to no cost to you.

Look in the phone book. I don't know what state you're in, but there is some kind of program inevery state. Start with pregnancy centers such as Planned Parenthood. You can also contact the Department of Human Services or Resources.

try Department of Economic Security. In my state they help with daycare assistance, job placement, food stamps, medical and cash assistance. Plus WIC is always a given. tell her to hang in there, being a mother maybe the toughest job in the world but its the most rewarding in the end.

Go to your local Division of Family and Children for assistance with Medicaid to pay for baby's doctor bill. Salvation Army helps with clothes and furniture. Your local town trustee should be able to help with bills. Also you local Community Services. Good luck!

Go to your Department Of Social Services and sign up. Especially if you do not have a job. Even if you have a job, you still may be available for some services.
