NBA.com had a special "Black Box" on their site. What was in that box? Was it a new basketball? I saw a link that says "new official game ball" but was that the thing in the Black Box? If you don't know what I'm talking about go to

Its this new basketball that absorbs water! It Its looks really cool. It should still show it. I went after 3 or 4 days and it was still there. my brother showed me it 2 days before it would open. Then after 2 days I saw what it was. I looked a lot for it then got the answer and when I saw your question I answered it. So there you go!!

It's a new basketball that the league is going to use from now on. It's not a leather ball and it has a better grip to it. Here's an excerpt from an article on epsn.com:
The biggest, and most important, difference is that the ball is no longer leather. Instead, it's made of a microfiber composite that allows for a much better and more consistent grip.
The ability to grip the leather was a driving reason behind the first change to the ball in more than 35 years.
"That really became a challenge, particularly when the ball was wet," said executive vice president of operations Stu Jackson.
