Good point, Please try to consider that on-line, most people are unaware of your age, and often, kids especially, will lie about their age for various reasons.
Also for consideration: Adults often have no patience for any child other than their own, and even then, not always. It is just the way it has been forever.
I find myself losing patience, or being intolerant at times, and I do my best to correct this and see the world through my kids' eyes.
As an adult, I apologize for my part in the wrong doing.

Some people just say they are adults. That's why a 13 year old shouldn't be on this site. And, you are right, it is the World Wide Web, but there's a time and place for everything and everyone and some people out there are really disturbed and it can be dangerous for someone your age or any age for that matter. It's summer vacation anyway, why would you want to spend it online. You should be outside playing with your friends or something. I know my 13 year old isn't online right now. She's at wet n' wild where she should be on summer vacation. She doesn't go online unattended b/c she understands that grown ups lie too.

I think a lot of it has to do with the way the questions are asked. Many adults get bugged by "empty" questions, not realizing that this is just another form of entertainment for many of the younger set. Us "old farts" often forget what it was like to be in junior high (or younger). I have the unique gift of being married to a big kid. He drives a school bus and is sometimes a bigger kid than those he's driving. Makes for some interesting times around here, that's for sure! We like having fun and tend to remember those younger days, when we had to entertain ourselves when things got boring. I think the adults need to chill a while, and remember to not take everything so seriously. Pick and choose the battle more carefully. I'm a Sunday School teacher, so I enjoy hanging with kids and having fun. And I like being on this site, helping those who need help, and sometimes setting people straight who need a little "attitude adjustment" to their day. I realize that many young people aren't really that interested in grammar and spelling, and that's something that annoys many of the adults. I try to look past that, but sometimes it's hard, because I work hard at getting things right (sometimes it doesn't always work, though). So, next time you're getting pounded by an adult on this site because of one of your questions, just consider the source. Many of the adults had a rough life and tend to take it out on those who haven't lived much yet. And many of the questions are about sex & how to "do it", which sends many adults into orbit. It's okay to have fun, but some of the "fun" borders on dangerous and just uncouth. But, if you're just having harmless fun, don't worry about the answers to your fun. Just do the best you can, with what you've got and try not to get too annoyed with us. Just remember...some of you might be working at our nursing home some day! <*)))><

Many people you will find are just rude, sweetie. Not just on the net, but on the street as well. At least ,I hope, by the fact you asked this question, that you will strive to be a polite and respectful person. The world really needs some well-mannered young people!

I think you'll find that most adults who do not have children are not very understanding and don't seem to remember what it was like to be a kid. Maybe your questions are too immature, or maybe you're just taking them to heart too much. All these answers must be taken with a grain of salt and just ingore the ones you dont want to hear. Best wishes

It depends upon the content of the question and how well it's phrased. I'm 41, and will give serious consideration to a question of merit, but generally ignore sexual questions posed by CHILDREN just to see what weird answers they will get. Parents like me become a little troubled seeing 10 and 11 year olds pose explicit questions when they have no idea who they're asking.

Because Adults tell kids to ask questions to get answers but when they do the Adult just thinks the kid is stupid. The are higher educated so they don't think the way a kid does.

well, I try not to treat kids differently unless they really deserve it, and it doesn't apply to just children. Anyone who doesn't know how to type and use proper grammer on the web are going to be treated differently. If one can't take the time to make something understandable, then why bother giving them a real response?
And btw your question was fine and you know how to type, so grats to you and ignore all those people who can't get over age differences.

Yahoo has an age restriction and your parents permission was required to sign up. The idea is that your usage would be monitored by your parents. ALL of your postings should only appear in the Teen and Preteens section. And, you really shouldn't even be reading any of the other sections.
You need to be grateful that yahoo even allows 13 year olds to participate. It is like a gift. Respect it.

Because they haven't grown up themselves. Some adults haven't matured to the point of being willing to share. I believe they think that their age entitles them to be able to behave in an authoritative way. Personally, I believe that privileges come with responsibility. Which includes how well you respect others.
