For example, a transgender person is born in a boy's body, but feels like they should be a female. Everything about them "feels" female but their genitalia says otherwise. See the movie "Boy's Don't Cry" to see an example of this or "A Girl Like Me." Typically they are heterosexual, using the way that they feel. So just because they have male genitalia and are attracted to men does not make them gay because they feel like they are a woman.
