Some people are just not meant for marriage. My brother has tried twice, with completely different types of women, and neither marriage worked out. He pretty much has always been in some type of relationship, but things have always worked out better if he wasn't 'tied down.' If a man is happy with his life the way it is being single, and is responsible in his relationships (not over-populating the world...) then the bachelor concept is a good thing.

Depends on what you want, and how long you think you're going to get it. If you WANT to be alone all your life, then sure.. good concept. If you just want to have meaningless flings and party all the time... how long are you going to keep that up? I don't see many 60 year old men at the clubs having a different chick every night. Otherwise, what you're really saying is that you THINK you're going to be a bachelor forever... when really, someone will come along and make you feel like you could never be alone again.

Nothing is right for everyone. Some are meant to be married and some are not. If someone realizes they don't want to be married, then they definitely should not do it. However, they should make this clear to the people they date. Additionally, being a life long bachelor does not mean having different woman every nite! There is great benefit to being with in a mutually caring relationship.

Life long bachelor can be good or bad depending on the person. It can be good if you are a very particular person who likes things their way only and is not good at compromise. It can be bad, because then you don't have anyone to share your life with, or even share you likes, vacations, highs and lows with. Troubled shared is halved and happiness shared is doubled.

I do not believe that we are meant to be solitary creatures. I also do not think we all need the piece of paper saying forever. As long as both in the relationship are happy why can you not remain a "bachelor"

it's a selfish concept. Most bachelors or bachelorettes...want the cake, they lick the frosting, and then put the delicious treat aside. I do not embrace being single....but I don't advocate marriage either. I think a couple can reside together without benefit of marriage and be a companion/ friend/lover for one another.

i guess because you're a bachelor doesn't exactly make you lonely. i'm sure you have friends and family. maybe there is a special woman in your life and you don't want to go the "traditional" way and marry her, and I say there's nothing wrong with that!! if you're happy, more power 2 ya!!

It is neither good nor bad. It is a choice you have to make depending on your aim in life. So what is your aim? Or what are your fears? If you want to become a priest then it is Ok. If you do not want to take responsibilities of a family then it is OK. Who will take your responsibility if you fall sick or have a heart attack? Please look at your parents. Do you think they made a mistake by marrying? A wife is not an obstruction to your progress in life. Choose what you like after proper thinking or else you will be forced to like what you get.

The concept can be good and bad. It's good that you can go out and have lots of fun but that eventually gets old. Eventually you'll get lonely and want to settle down.
