There should be a reset button on the router. Push and hold it in until the router resets. This will reset the router to its defaults, including user name and password. Go to the manufacturer's website and get the default IP address, user name and password (ususally blank and "admin", "admin" and "admin", or "admin" and "password") Connect the router to your computer. Log into the router with a web browser by typing in the default IP address (typically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254) and giving the default user name and password. You can then change whatever settings you like.

The default is, user blank and "admin" as password. Does it have a reset button? Could be anything... Contact the manufacture for a reset on the whole thing...

i would advise googling for the manual for the router you have.
on most routers have a reset button on the back of them to reset the router to factory defaults.

if you cannot change the password eventhough you reset the router then that means software priority to the vendor.
