Infatuation is the better word. It can jump-start a relationship, but only time can turn infatuation into love.

I believe in love at first sight, though I think it is really rare. I met my husband out at a club when I had no intention of dating anyone much less getting married ( I was single and having the time of my life) but there was just something special between us. And 32 days after we met we were married. We have now been married a little over two years. Have one son and another on the way. We are best friends and very happy. From the first time I saw him I just knew, and so did he. Oh and as far as the lust thing is concerned of corse we were attracted to each other but there was so much more to it than that.

Nope... I hear about those rare occassions that they're high school sweets hearts. Even those cases are far fetched."She didn't notice me for like two whole years..." It's not lust until you think about them all the time in a sexual way, which isn't good, it could led to obession, etc. I think it's just some ones way of saying they saw some one really attractive. Love is based on commitment so right when you see that person you have to be willing to persue them for a more intimat relationship. You don't see that nowadays.

I don't believe in love at first sight. More like lust at first site.
How can you immediately love someone you don't even know?
I think it can be the signals that the two individuals are giving each other. More sexual than love.

When I separate the person from who they are, i.e. a body part, that person has an incredible bottom, or they are hot, I am separating the person from who they are to how they appear/look. I am also idealizing who they are based on the objectification of their body, i.e., because that person is hot, I would like to get to know them, or somehow they are appealing emotionally mentally because they are hot. As I am objectifying, lust shows itself in fantasy. What would I like, what would I like to do with and to them. So I would say when the idealized picture of this person is replaced with reality, IE., who they really are. You can accept and be willing to see past faults, issues, problems because Love carries no jealousy, love doesn't judge, love don't do anything for self gratitude, love gives unconditionally, love is trust, love is respect, love is truth!

No it's lust. love don't come into it. Not until the bird finds out how much cash you've got. Then it's a slippery slope from then onwards.

oh it's lust, love takes a long time cos it's built on the time you spend together, the things you do and with each other and the experiences you go through together
