I've been a gamer as long as there have been video games.
I'll be 40 this year and I've had almost every system since Atari.
I can't wait for PS3 - especially for Gran Turismo.
I can afford all the cool stuff, and I have a 60-inch HD to play it on...with theatre-quality surround sound and all that.
If you stop playing, you start dying. I'm not ready for that yet.
Besides- I have to stay sharp so I can beat my kids at video games. Dad must rule...
26...lol...I was playing Sega Genesis at 26...
Roll with it. Times will change but you'll always want to play.

I had a boss who had PS2 and Xbox..he was 31-32. Also, my co-worker is in his late 40's and he bought a PSP recently for himself. So, no, you are not too old. You might want to wait for the PS3 to come out late this year though. I am 28 and still play on occasion on my PS2.
In fact, studies have shown that there are more older players..and more games with MA ratings.

Do you think you're too old?
My boyfriend is 27 and has a PS2, PSP, XBox, Nintendo Game Cube, PS1, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advance and getting ready to buy a DS Lite.... so no, go get one!
At least you can use it as a CD/DVD player as well.

Video games aren't just for kids anymore. They aren't mostly for kids anymore. The biggest part of the video game market are people in their 20's and more and more the market is moving to include people in their 30's 40's and 50's.
