Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

Oh! That end was awesome! He died, but he took it as he's going to sleep. It means that he's going to go to a place where he doesn't feel guilt, or being involved in criminal activities in there.. He will have peace.. And rest.. forever..
Don't we say for the person who died "rest in peace"?
He rests in peace.. and that what makes death and sleeping much alike.

He dies. When he says, "just let me sleep"...it is his end and he knows it, but closing his eyes even to death is very welcoming because he has not slept. Most people would want to fight dying. See the original foreign film...it is just as good if not better.
