Doesn't Conservatism mean stealing from the American Taxpayers, their Social Security, their Pension Plans, etc.,,, remember the Government George W. Bush bad-mouthed during his campaign?

Do the poor fools who believe that their politics, of following the leader of this Reich-Wing self appointed and self anointed apostleship, hope they will become rich, or just protected by the greedy wealthy of the GOP,,,, do they deserve the misery they will reap?

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Galatians 6: 7-9 (fiscal conservative, born-again)

You obviously have no concept of conservatism. Not only do conservatives not steal from the poor, they donate billions of dollars a year to charities to help the poor.

Conservatives don't like the social security system because it is broken. Whereas a person can earn 4% interest in a savings account, social security is earnining less than 1% interest. See the problem? The people, especially the poor, are getting screwed in this deal.

Conservatism is a set of beliefs, a primary one of which is that you need to set up systems to allow people to help themselves. If you just keep handing out money to the poor, they will always be poor. You're not giving them the tools to get out of poverty. So just keep handing out money and assuring generational poverty. Liberalism is actually much, much crueler to the poor than is conservatism.

I know hundreds of Republicans and conservatives (not always the same thing). None of them are wealthy, many aren't religious, and not a single one of them is stealing from the poor or trying to harm the poor.

And by way, insulting conservatives with all your little talking points and phrases doesn't help the poor climb out of poverty. It just exposes your ignorance and irrational hatred.

Conservatives by definition support a government that taxes little and spends conservatively. They also provide guidance to purely private non financial matters. They are religious only in the bedroom and purely secular when it comes to their pocketbook.

Liberals support social controls and gives government some power in the finances of the country. Liberals also prefer that the government stay out of private matters like reproduction, arts, etc. They prefer that religion be a private and personal matter.

Good and bad in both political philosophies.

The right wing today, both the Congress and the administration, are not conservative in financial matters in any way hence the huge historical budget deficit and extravagant spending that insures massive tax hikes in the future that they all have endorsed. A matter of extensive record.

President Clinton was forced to the middle and had a conservative budget that was worked out with his opposition party due to his personal scandal and the Republicans "Contract with America". A matter of extensive record.

That is not opinion but there are those that will argue until they have convinced others to their point of view. Why we all don't get back to a truthful debate is beyond me.

You talk a lot but say nothing. Social Security is going bankrupt. When the program was started there were 16 people putting into the system to everyone taking out of it. Now the ratio is three to one, I would say that is a system that needs to be fixed. What exactly did Bush do to endanger people's pension funds? Your good at calling names ( Reich-wing suggesting that Republicans are Nazis but I would be willing to bet you know nothing of what a Nazi was or what they stood for) I want to hear some ideas I'm tired of the name calling lets hear some real ideas and how these ideas should be implemented. I give you a C- on this question at least your crammer is somewhat correct.

This is a good question and indicative of a low level of moral understanding on the part of many supposed Christians.

Another WWJD quote:

Acts, Chapter 4:32-35>
{32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34 There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.}

Marx wasn't the first to say, "from each according to his ability to each according to his need". It's an ancient progressive ethic.

P.S. Warren Buffett, an icon of American capitalism, recently announced he was giving away $40 billion dollars he'd earned the American way to charity. Among his reasons for giving his fortune away ($30+ billion to the Gates foundation alone) is because he realized that markets always fail the poor. Opportunity doesn't grow on trees as many naive conservatives believe.

"In that, we agreed with Andrew Carnegie, who said that huge fortunes that flow in large part from society should in large part be returned to society." - Warren Buffett (cnn.Money.com)

Buffet is a true American hero!

Oh you poor misguided soul. What makes you think that liberals are crooked also? They are sneaky. You know that a republican represents the dollar but the liberal is more cunning. The liberal will have you believe that they are doing good for the poor but in the end, the dollar always wins.

Who helps the poor? Individuals, not government. You, yourself, have more power and influence to help the poor.

Blindly following anything without really closely examining the fact, the real facts, is not a good idea.

The short answer is that Liberals have hearts and conservative republicans have none. Oh, the ANP will tell you how they like to give to charities and such, but it's mostly exaggerated (it is the middle and lower classes who give by far the most to charities) and utterly selective (i.e., only right-wing religious causes and such).

You are right on target with your line of questioning and your commentary, Neddie. Keep up the good work and know that you are NOT alone in your views. Cheers!

I think that liberals trying to put everyone on welfare is stealing from people who are honest taxpayers that work for a living and earn their money.
Also good of you to point out Galatians and reaping what you sow. If you believe in gays getting married and abortions just imagine what you will be reaping from that.

Funny how you chose that scripture. Libs are fast to show their "good deeds" by all the money thrown to social programs that help the poor stay poor. How Christian like. Then they do a 180 and scream and belly ache when gays can't get married, child molesters can't live near children, and when athiests can't live in a world with religion. How Christian like it that? Can you be a Christian and support liberal ideas?

I just love how you people don't want to help out a person who is in need (a very christian thing to do). But want to use more of OUR money to fight ill-conceived wars and build a greater militar (a very UN-christian thing to do).

conservatives are just as bad as liberals when it comes to wasting money. They just do it differently. This crop of conservatives are NOT spending our money wisely-- get a grip.

I agree tho that the question is stuipid, narrow minded and stereotypical

As a fiscal conservative, I'd rather give to charity myself, which I often do. Having the government "give" on my behalf isn't generosity - it's robbing Peter to pay Paul. And you know, when you do that, you can always count on Paul's vote!

Furthermore, when people give on their own, their donations get to the needy a lot more quickly and efficiently than when they go through the fat, bloated, inefficient bureaucracy known as government.

if you notice where all the liberal money is coming from it's from government money which belongs to the taxpayers. Conservatives believe that American's money should be spent wisely and it should be conserved and not wasted and thrown about willy nilly. i like your pun on right wing it was really creative and in no way stereotypical or narrow minded.
