Get nonracist friends!

Do they not like him just because of his skin color?? Or do they have other reasons? Because they may notice something about him that you don't so they are trying to protect you. If it has to do with his skin color then that's a really dumb reason for them to hate and for you to not date someone because of how your friends feel just about the skin color. Try talking to your friends and maybe have them get to know him more before making a judgement on whether they like him or not. I understand that your friends have a great influence on your life so take that into consideration. Would you end up losing these friends over it? Would it be worth the ridicule from them all the time? Follow your heart. Hopefully if you're friends are your real friends they will accept whoever you date no matter what unless he doesn't treat you right. Good luck!

First: Find out WHY they don't like him...skin color may not have anything to do with it.
Second: Start living your life for YOU...not anyone else!
Third: Find a new set of friends who will not judge a person by the 'color of their skin'--which means absolutely NOTHING about a person! Those few people are not your true friends if it's about skin color.
Fourth: Your friends may be just jealous that you can easily make friends with a person whose skin color is not the same as theirs.
Fifth: Stay positive towards your them all, the new friends AND the negative people you know...everyone can learn from each other.

The issue should not be black or white it should be is he a good or bad guy? That is what is important. Why would your friends not want you to be happy with someone you like just because they are racist aganist his color? Who cares what color he is - if he treats you with respect and makes you smile - isn't that what its all about? Maybe you should rethink who your friends truly are and if they are looking out for what is best for you. Do what makes you happy and forget what everyone and anyone else thinks.

Having an interracial relationship is a very difficult thing. It depends on whether your love is strong enough to overlook what friends, relatives, or other people might say about you. People can be incredibly callous at times, and you may have to be willing to endure ridicule for a period of time before people will finally accept you and your partner for who you are, not your skin color. Good luck to you in your endeavors, and happiness always.

TOO MUCH OF THE WHITE/BLACK THING STILL THESE DAYS. WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE JUST PEOPLE, JUDGED ON HOW WE LIVE OUR LIVES? I am a person married to another person, and we have wonderful twin boys. My family makes me happy, and if we are not the same (hate the word) race, I don't care hat anybody thinks. If someone can't accept my family, I can't accept them.

Black shouldn't date whites! That's heresy, blasphemy, unheard of! How could that possibly be! The people in pointy white hoods would never permit it! My GOD what are you THINKING. May God have mercy on your miserable sou-

Oh wait. That's right. We live in the 21st century. Time to progress isn't it? :P

Come on, forget your friends. If you like the man, let him know and forget the rest. Prejudice should be a thing of the past, for either blacks or whites. (I'm Asian myself so...no real bias in that sense...)

Good luck!

Big deal!! It's who you like that's important.People who base their likes and dislikes on skin color are insecure and don't make good friends because they are too superficial. You're white friend might be the greatest person in the world, but your racist friends won't be able to see that!!

It's you life, so be friends with who you want, regardless of race.

If your friends don't like this person simply because he is white, then that is not cool. If they have other, legitimate reasons, then listen to them and make up your own mind.

pick and choose who you want more - friends or lover. If you want both then just shrug it off. If he were black but poor or balding or ugly then you friends may still not like him. Enjoy both. Sometimes (or most times) you have to just ignore people.
