If you've seen the show and paid attention, then you should know that Kyle isn't the only one of his kind.
Although I don't know for sure Kyle's origin after seeing just one episode (and visiting the web site), I do know that there is probably more people like him. If you saw a television that was running after a conversation between two of the characters, you would know that there was a female reporter talking about a girl who had walked off the beach and was wandering around, not knowing where she was.
This didn't last long of course, and it left me wanting to know more. The point is, Kyle was in the same situation. The website mentioned "Mada Corporation", something I don't think the Pilot episode mentioned. There is most likely a connection between Mada, Kyle, and the mysterious man watching him from a truck.
My guess: Kyle is one of many clones developed by Mada corporation, and the guy in the truck is probably an employee there, tracking down the clones. How they got there, I have no idea.
But then again, I could be completely wrong. We'll just have to keep watching to find out!

I think it is a possibility that Kyle may be some type of experiement, like a clone. That could explain why he woke up with the gooey birth stuff on him, why he doesn't remember where he came from, and why he doesn't have a belly button. If he is cloned or was "man-made," then that could also explain why he is super smart. It's just a thought.

kyle xy is a project from the mada corp (did you see the commercial) if you yahoo mada corp you'll see a map of little colored dots. the white one says Seattle Washington and classified also if you search the word kyle xy at the top of the web page you'll see it pop up CLASSIFIED. how do i know this. b/c I'm a genius

lets see.kyle xy is a normal kid.except.....okay,here's my opinion.i think he is from another planet and somehow he wound up in a forest where people found him and took him in.
