I'm curious to read about how people get by without reliance on electricity and technology (yeah, I realize the irony of this post.)
Any suggested books or web resources on how to live without electricity and utilities?

I lived in a farm house without electricity, running water, a heating system, or insulation from the time I was in second grade until I joined the army at twenty.
How we lived and got by without all that today would take a book.
I have been writing experiences in the Great Depression to a friend who is a director of one of the major TV news stations. He is planning on putting the depression stories and my experiences in the front line infantry into a book.
Of course, I have no way at this time to know what he will name the book, or if it will ever be written.
