How do you find the words to say goodbye?

Im moving this summer to another state and I don't even know how I'm going to say goodbye to my best friend. Help!

how can you ever say goodbye to someone when there are emails that can be sent half way around the world in the blink of an eye? webcam chats that make you feel as if you're with that person? text and phone conversations that can go on for hours? no, what you're really saying goodbye to is that moment. the convenience of going and hooking up with your friend whenever you wanted to. and, for that i have no answer. because you never really say goodbye to someone short of leaving the planet. the only time you say goodbye to someone is when you have a terminal illness and you know when you're about to go. you re in what is called a transition period. if its meant to be you and your friend getting back that moment of being together then it will happen. otherwise, use the medium that glues the world together. even prison inmates correspond with loved ones on the outside, so they're never gone... unless they have life or are on death row, but that's a whole different story.

How far are ya moving? It is sad to leave a good friend. I had to do it many times. Dad was army. But now a days you have email, mail, video, phones and cheap airflight. You could visit each other. Save up some cash in the future so your parents know how badly you want to see them again. I bet they will let you. AND don't forget all the new friends you will meet. I have friends all over the world now from all the moving we did.

tell your bff how much you like being with her, adn cant wait for your visit to her or her visit to you. Dont really say goodbye, its more of a long trip. I, myself, am doing the same thing this summer. I live in Washington and am moveing to Florida so i know exactuly what you are going through. It is hard to say good bye so maybe the key is to say "see you later" because you will probably come back and visit them soon. Have phone numbers and address and emails so you can esnd letters and emails and chat on the phone. Keep in contact with these people and it will be less hard. When you are going to say your good byes tell them you will call them soon. It makes things easier knowing you will be talking to them shortly! And before you leave be sure to tell them that you love them.

Don't say goodbye, it's until we meet again. Life is full of changes, and separation is one of them. There are still letters, email, telephones, road trips, etc so you are only as far as you want to be.

dude i know EXACTLY how u feel... i lived in maryland and my mom made me move to pensylvania last summer... i miss it down there so much.. theres no easy way to say "good-bye"...
i gave my two best friends the biggest hug, and it lasted... 5 minutes, and i was crying like my tear ducts busted.... it was rely sad..... but we call each other evry day, and talk, and we see each other monthly... its just the fact ur moving so far away, that its wierd not seeing them evry day like u used to.... but good luck in the new state, and keep in touch with old friends!
