But invoking the name of Allah over and over and over again, while sawing living man's head off on video, isn't considered blasphemous?

(Remember children, this question has nothing to do with American public policy, don't show your own personal awe-inspiring idiocy by using the words: "Soldier, American, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Bush, Cheney, or Abu Gharib, etc", in your answers...)

Wow, someone managed to include all the naughty words, AND in a coherent fashion... I'm impressed...

Because radical islam (keep in mind I said radical, and not all of islam) are insane. I don't want to hear that their culture is different yadda yadda yadda. No their is no culture that would be sane if it promoted sawing off peoples heads. They hate. They arte no different than the nazi.

It's a concept that most American Christians, Jews and Hindus do not understand because it's not a concept in their own religion, but fundamentalist Muslims--the ones that are chillin' in abu gharib and cheap-shotting our soldiers in Iraq as opposed to the bush and cheney voters wearing colorful hats in the US--believe that in the writings of Mohommed, known as the Hadiths (and not in the Koran), he implies that houses with pictures or dogs will not be visited by angels. Therefore, it (kind of) follows that Mohommed wouldn't ever grant permission for someone to make a picture of him because that would add to the displeasing of the angels. That's one view anyways... there's a bunch more.

I think because it is considered Idolatry and they (muslims) are way against it.

Now, if somebody had a picture of Jesus doing something bad- there would be ALOT of angry christians. Although I don't expect them to start rioting tho.

All the other things are the acts of wackos...

It's probably around as blasphemous as saying "God damn it" when you stub your toe or "oh God oh God oh God" if you're forced to cut someone's head off. The former is just swearing, but the latter is using God as a litany to try to keep yourself calm, though any repititious set of words can work.

Those who commit heinous crimes in the name of religion, be it Christianity/Judaism/Islam/Hinduism/etc, are not representative of those religions. Do you think the Catholic priests who rape little children represent all of Catholicism?
