they have similar styles but are from a different era. explain why one is better than the other

i compare the two because they are both original and progressive in their respective eras, m also listen to tool's cover of no quater on their dissectional cd that came in the box set you will then understand my compairison

Thats comparing apples and oranges. Tool is deffinetly a louder band. They have more of a deep rock feel and have more extreme lyrics and situational music.
Led Zepplin started the rock craze. they use complicated chords and broad variety of sounds.
Persoanlyl I like Tool because I liek the more aggressive rock. They shoudl be compared to NIN KORN and old LIMP BIZKIT

They both have great vocalists.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are great songwriters. But so is Maynard James Keenan. He is my all time favorite singer.
But in my opinion, Tool is better. I base that on my own personal opinion. Tool has very dark and dramatic vocals and lyrics. I just dont like the fact that Jimmy Page was a freiken Satanist. You seriously need to listen to "Stairway to Heaven" backwards, and tell me if there wasn't something crazy behind that. I mean, the words are so clear when it's played backwards. Plus, I did research on him, and he followe Alleister Crowley, the guy who started the "Church Of Satan".
I choose to stay away from that.

I love Tool but Led Zepplin is better.

LED ZEP!!! tool is great too, james maynard keenan has got to be the hardest working man in rock and roll right now with two successful bands (tool and a perfect circle) and writing and touring all the time!!

LED ZEPPELIN RULES!!! No room for imitations. Always the original sounds better! Plus they were multi-talented and unique!
None of their 10 albums is similar to another! Top that!
