I have a 43cc gasscooter and it has battery problems I got a new battery and it does not charge correctly.HELP

12 volt 7 amp battery
smart charger
43cc engine
electric start
engine is fine
wiring is fine
charged once and let electric start work a couple of times and then stopped charging

Your alternator may need to be replaced or re-wound.

Go to an autoelectrician and get it tested. The output voltage should be stable at 12-13volts, if that is fine then your charging system is fine.
