I think it would be interesting to see if the "rulers" of the various countries would "duke it out" one-on-one. It would save many many lives and they would think twice about sending our children overseas to fight a bloody battle, after they get their butt whipped a few times.

That is an excellent question and essentially what the morons that fall for the war propaganda don't understand. If these so-called defenders of our nation/patriots were sincere they would be right there on those battlefields and they would include their children in it. The president didn't do this alone,,,there are far too many that are complicit in this travesty. As a former member of the U.S. military, I am greatly sickened by the military industrial complex, the mainstream media's fear of speaking out, the failure of the elected representatives to uphold the U.S. Constitution, and the American people allowing such egregious actions. The majority of people that have orchestrated this war have not served in the military, nor do they have children in presently serving in the military.
Ultimately, the prez is at the top of ladder of this nightmare...and don't give me the drivvle of 9-11...how do you get to jump from Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan to Saddam Hussein in Iraq??? It's nothing but sick pathology.

What are you looking for? An international one on one "rumble" as in "West Side Story"? It could never happen fairly. Your question assumes that all rulers make their citizenry join the militiary. What you need to remember is that the U.S. has a volunteer military. The men and women who join choose to join. They know what might happen and they go anyway. .While some join for financial assistance, their are many who would tell President Bush that it is their job to fight, not his. People really do join the military for altruistic reasons.

The obvious answer is that the President hasn't murdered any families. The Terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, however, have indiscriminently murdered men, women and children on 9/11 and are currently murdering innocent men, women and children by blowing themselves up and exploding IEDs in places of worship, crowded market places, schools and hospitals in Iraq. President Bush has not blown himself up and miraculously risen from the grave to blow himself up the next day. Please try to get a grip and quit reading left wing blogs.

Crazy question. The President has nothing to do with and is not
responsible. We are in a war which we must win. People who
ask this kind of question simply do not know their back side from
a hole in the ground about war. I would like to ask the one who
asked that question, what do they think would happen to them
if this war is lost? Maybe they should go live in a terrorist
country now.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood had a great video in the eighties where world leaders (as puppets) duked it out.. "Two Tribes" was the track....

the real question is - who would win..?

man to man, George W.'s probably pretty soft,
I think Putin could kick his ***, ditto for Osama (all that mountain training) Saddam's just plain loco and would probably fight like a wild animal.. Hugo Chavez ACTUALLY served in his military and was a paratrooper, so he would just smoke W...I think George could probably beat the N.Korean younger Kim Il Song though...

I think your statement is unfair. Osama Bin Ladin is responsible for murdering the families of our country. Have you forgotten the sight of those towers falling, enough people dying in an instant to populate a small town? The President is doing what is presidential, which is preventing terrorists from attacking this country again. Thank God our children and President are out there defending our right to even speak like this. If the Muslim extremists had their way, you and I would not even have access to a computer much less speak out against them. Yes, in an ideal world, we would have one chosen person go fight another and I think W would whip anyone out there. I also believe if one-on-one fights were the way we settled things, W would not run from the fight. He hasn't so far. I am a former-dyed-in-the-wool liberal, but when our country was attacked by people who would like for all of us to die, my views began to change. There are people in the world who want all Americans to die PERIOD, and are willing to send their children out to kill us. With all its faults, this is still the greatest country in the world because we have to the right to express ourselves like this; we can work or play or worship or not worship the way we choose. We can wear what we want and drive cars. If Muslim extremists topple this country (and that is their stated goal), as women, we won't even be able to leave our houses with out asking a man if we can. It disturbs me that many people are willing to put this country and our freedoms at risk because they do not care for our President. We have a way to change this. It is call voting, but most Americans take this right for granted. Exposing programs designed to protect us is going to cause Americans to be murdered, because it weakens our ability to fight terrorists. Do you think it is fair that the New York Times is responsibile for murdering Americans? I respect your point of view and personally I am willing to die to protect your right to express it. This is what make us great. Would you do the same for me?

If people do not want to fight in wars they should not join the military. That is their sole purpose!! To defend the Country!!!
All the people at home cry about their children and families in Iraq, but ask a soldier and they would say they would be happy to die for their country.

War is the ultimate tool of diplomacy. In terror situations such as we are in now, there is no home land, no government with which to negotiate. Old men start wars, young men (women) die in them.

Is it fair, no, but I would rather fight in their house than mine.

If you want to look at the historical view of the middle east, it has always been at war on some scale, but we are now receiving the effort invested in the crusades.

Nobody seems very anxious to do their own dirty work, that is why we have politicians

War is a fact of life. Not only does the Bible say so but, history shows this to be true. The people who serve us by fighting the was on terror were not drafted but, signed on to this by their own free will. They knew the risks of joining the military. These men and women are heroes.

I do not believe that the president is responsible for any of this. He is only doing what he has to do to keep our country free and our citizens free to make choices. He is doing what has been done since biblical times. Protecting our homeland. war has been going on since the beginning of time. There is always someone who hates another and wants what they have. Our President, our leaders and our citizens must be ready at all times to protect this great country from the enemies. Our men and women who are fighting are protecting us as well as helping Iraq gain freedom. We do not want war on our land. Our soldiers are hero's. Thank your leaders and your military for your freedom, do not condemn them.
