It's fake. But sooooo much fun to watch. and r.d. are you talking about Sid Vicious and his leg snapping during a match? That was sooo gross to see, and yet strangely exciting!

Of course it's fake. Vince said so in the late 80's when he was faced with the prospect of the New Jersey Athletic Control Board (the board that oversees boxing) planning to regulate his wrestling matches.
But, wrestling is fake in the same sense that theater is fake.
The actors all know what is going to happen in advance, but the fans still come in to see the show.

Wrestling is categorized as entertainment. It is fake. There is no way these Wrestlers would survive a round if they fought this way for real. Comm'on, throwing someone on the floor and then jumping on them has to be fake.

wrestling is rehearsed and practiced the move are not as hard as it looks but not really fake. It takes a lot of athletic ability and they have been hurt. The people who work for company's such as the WWI train hard and long to learn their trade

pros on tv are fake wrestling, but it's amazing the phsical skill needed to make it look real (I watched a show about it once)

Most of it is REAL! ( like, 90% is real.) the rest is fake. (only 10% though)
