which security suite is the best out there at the moment?

I am currently using mcAfee but I'm having problems with it and I am with BT which offers norton included in my package. Which do you suggest? thanx

Paid for all in one suites can be a problem To get through a security program hackers have to crack the engine. Security suites are written on one engine, so a hacker that gets through one part of the suite gets through the lot.
Layered protection is safer, different engines for each part of your security.
Its a myth that free software is cr*p. For one thing if you like the free product you're more likely to upgrade to the full bells and whistles version. I've been using this lot for a year and have never had a virus or trijan or browser hijack. Just the odd tracking cookie. My pc has just come back from its annual service, grand total £15. There was nothing to remove. My tech is Microsoft Certified. He said "If it aint there I'm not charging you to remove it".

The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out. Either of these firewalls are free for personal use and stop unwanted incoming and outgoing traffic. You choose which programs are allowed to access the internet. They are both fairly easy to use and updated regularly.

Instal both these web browsers, turn off javascript on one and use that browser for vising unknown websites. They don't support Active X so thats one less way for problems to get on your pc.

i take advantage of a mixture of courses i take advantage of and my laptop is 100 p.c. Hacker info as each on line protection attempt software that I easily have ever examined it on continually comes up as 100 p.c. invisible all ports closed. between the perfect courses is call GFI Languard community protection and artwork tremendous. GFI takes some tweaking yet once you get it operating it cant be beat. yet another software also through GFI is termed end factor protection and that i also use a firewall observed as Outpost protection firewall professional and that i need to boot finding out this firewall and out preforms all others that I easily have examined and for virus scanners i take advantage of Kaskersky because it to has its own protection.

Don't trust the free ones must are crap.
Norton is the best, you have Internet tools, which includes a firewall. and system works which includes sys tools. FYI, one of the freebies infected my sys with so much afware I had to reboot
