We have white plastic patio furnature/ lounge chairs that surround our pool. Each year during the winter we bring them in and store them in our basement. This year they have turned a rusty yellow. Has this happened to you before and how do you clean it off?

you can try a mix of baking soda and water, to make a paste, and a light scour brush/pad. Bleach will not help. Last resort, CLR or Lime Away.

Use bleach to try and remove the yellow. It may be caused from the chlorine you use in your pool. Where the chairs tossed into the pool to clean them off before they were put away? Ask the kids if that's how they cleaned the furniture last year.

It may well be a chemical reaction within the plastic it's self. If common household cleaners don't work you may have to repaint them. Krylon makes a spray paint called " Fusion " which is made for and adheres to plastic. Available in many colors too. Hope this helps.

If the chairs are getting old they may be deteriorating. You might washing them with a solution of soap ,water and bleach and let them dry in the sun. This may not work but its worth a try.
GOOD LUCK !

Im sry. I just read ur cleft palate question, and wanted to say something. I too was born w/ cleft palate. Bcuz i couldn't suck, my mom inverted these bottle lids, and widened the hole alot. The thing is, the bottle si was using, were for pre-mies. So they were very small. You might want to look into these preme bottles, altho they r small. my mom said that u have to make up like, 50 a day!!

do what we do during hurrican season, throw them in the pool the chemicals in the pool with clean them. Let them soak for a few days, you might have to use a brush to totally clean them off. make sure you check your pool chemical balance afterwards to make sure that it is normal limits. I would maybe throw them in when I super chorlinated the pool. *AS LONG AS THERE IS NO METAL SHOWING ON YOUR CHAIRS!

Try cleaning them off with CLR or another similar rust stain removal product. Failing that I have seen people paint these chairs with good results.

try a bleach and hot water solution. 1 part bleach, 3 to 4 parts water. if it isn't strong enough...add more bleach in moderation.
