Get a car because a truck or an SUV will burn up gas quicker because of the bigger engine. Stick with something small, it will not only be cheaper, but you will save money on gas.

a truck with an extended cab is the most useable vehicle there is.
you can haul stuff,put 5 people in the cab.
less chances of getting stuck.

With gas prices these days, I'm likin' anything that gets great gas mileage, so I'm going to have to say a hybrid car.
