What causes a man to ejaculate (aside from wet dreams)? Does it mean that he has had an orgasm? Can you ejaculate without having sex?

Excuse me, but I am an adult and have already have learned about the birds and the bees....they just skipped the part about what happens to guys. The reason why I'm asking is because I was just kissing my boyfriend (nothing else) and he did.

To zqizzy:
I know that he wasn't stimulating himself because his hands were on me the whole time. So is that normal?

This sounds like an honest question so I will tell you what I know
Ejaculation and orgasm are closely related but not one in the same. I have had orgasms without ejaculating and my first ejaculation happened without an orgasm.
That said, virtually every ejaculation runs tandem with an orgasm. The ejaculation can start just ahead of the orgasm or begin during an orgasm but it is hard for a guy to have one and not the other.
What causes the ejaculation? Without getting too technical, It is a natural event that generally results from sustained sexual stimulation of the penis.
Can it happen without sex, yes, does it happen without sex, with very few exceptions, NO.
Does that help clear things up? I am open to follow up questions.
-I just read your additional details and, wow, you must be one good kisser!! Ejaculation and orgasm are controled by the mind. If he was turned on enough it could happen but my guess is that he was stimulating himself (even through his cloths) while you were kissing.
****************** ****************** ****************** ****************** ****************** ******************
I just saw your follow up question. It wouldn't have to be with his hand. Even slight 'humping' (for lack of a better word) with cloths on could be enough.
Without any penis stimulation at all it would be very difficult but possible.
I have a question for you. Was he fondling your breasts? Was it the first time you let him? If he got to feel and/or see your body, especially if it was the first time, that could be enough for orgasm and ejaculation. Remember those things are controlled by the mind. I remember the first time I got my hands on my wife's body, I might have well done that too if we had lingered there longer.
Bottom line, if this was his first time getting past first base, then I would say it is completely plausible that he had an orgasm/ejaculated just from seeing/touching/kissing you.
Your question is - Is that normal? There certainly is nothing wrong with him if that is what you are worried about. If I tell you this is not normal that might imply something negative.
If there was a culture that existed where boys were not exposed to sex growing up, meaning that there was no TV or movies and that all women dressed modestly. I think it would be VERY normal for most of the men of that culture to ejaculate under the circumstance you describe. I believe our culture desensitizes our boys and makes ejaculation without penis stimulation nearly impossible. Remember Forest Gump?
If you want to know anything else email me - zqizzy@yahoo.com - because I probably won't read this post again.
P.S. I must admit that if you caused that kind of a reaction in him I am very curious to know what you look like.

It's the male release of sperm at orgasm. It's usually caused by sexual contact, but can sometimes happen in nocturnal emissions or even a vivid daydream! The sperm is ejacualted in a fluid called semen and if ejaculated into the female vaginal tract, can induce a pregnancy. Pre-ejaculatory fluid can also carry small numbers of sperm, and CAN cause pregnancy (which is why unprotected sex is NEVER a good idea unless you and your partner have been tested for STD's and AIDS, and are prepared for a pregnancy) It is extremely pleasurable to the male as it occurs, just like a female orgasm is pleasurable. P.S. yes, a male can have an orgasm just with light contact or none at all if extremely aroused and, if he's extremely inexperienced! Most guys lose that hypersensitivity with experience. Sounds like he got extremely fired up.

ejaculation is simply the discharge of semen in males. usually the cause of an erection is phisycal, psychological, or simply viewing something usually sexual. the penis gets erect when blood flows and restricts in the penis. there are 3 cylinders that are sponge-like that fill with blood that create an erection. when a man ejaculates, most think he has had an orgasm but studies have shown that even though discharge has been released through the penis, the endorphens(and other chemichals that are realesed with an orgasm) do not appear.
