Can someone explain ejaculation to me?

What causes a man to ejaculate (aside from wet dreams)? Does it mean that he has had an orgasm? Can you ejaculate without having sex?

The reason why I'm asking is because I was just kissing my boyfriend (nothing else) and he did.

When a male ejaculates his muscles contract, and sperm and semen mix and are pushed into the urethra and come spurting out of the opening in the glans, or tip, of the penis. Ejaculation after masturbation is important. Stopping the ejaculation, by covering the end of the penis with a finger or thumb, can cause "retrograde ejaculation," which means the semen travels back up the urethra and can be forced up the tube that leads to the bladder, or forced into the prostate gland. Usually some sort of stimulation can cause a man to ejaculate. THe stimulation can be mental or physical.

Most men do ejaculate when they orgasm, but they can orgasm without ejaculation, that's called a dry orgasm. Or sometimes they can ejaculate before they are able to orgasm, that's called premature ejaculation. There's also forced ejaculation which can come from pressure on teh prostate, which some get when they have anal sex.

Many men ejaculate without sex, wet dreams and masturbation are common. Stimulation is key to an ejaculation.
