girls can loose their hymen for many different reasons...inserting tampons, saddle use, instrument use, prior intercourse. the issue at hand here is that if her vagina has not been penetrated by something intentional, she could be still considered a virgin.

By "virginity" do you mean the rupture of the hymen? It is possible that the hymen was broken, but not likely. Even if it was, that does not mean that her "virginity" was lost. That can only be given through sexual intercourse. The breaking of the hymen is not the loss of virginity. From a religious standpoint, sexual purity is about maintaining your innocence until marriage, not about whether the hymen has been broken. In some rare cases, the hymen will grow completely shut which would prevent a woman from having a normal period and must be ruptured by a doctor. Some would even go so far as to say that a woman who has been raped is still, in her heart, a virgin because she did not give it willingly. If you are concerned about offending God, remember that God cares what is in the heart of a person, not just the outward appearance. Your sister certainly didn't make a deliberate act towards "losing" her virginity. I hope that helps.

The word "virgin" means that you have not experienced sexual intercourse. It sounds like your sister broke her hymen which usually does happen when a woman loses her virginity, however breaking of the hymen does not automatically make her a non-virgin. Tampon use, horse back riding, and bicycle riding can all break a hymen but your sister is still a virgin if she has never had sexual intercourse.

It doesn't really matter. Hardly anyone is still a "virgin" by the time that they have sex for the first time. You can lose your "virginity" by using tampons, being in a bad car wreck, or any number of jarring things. It's not that she isn't a virgin any more, she hasn't had sex.

She has to be penetrated by a penis to not be a virgin. She should be checked out by a doctor to make sure everything is okay though.

first, i DO know that your hymen could rupture will symply horse back riding ( from the bouncy that comes from it) because a friend of mine had that happen to her when we were younger...HOWEVER, it could possibly be that she just got a cut inside her...I would consult YOUR GYN and find out for sure...

Ok, if the hymen is broken, it doesn't really mean you're no longer a virgin. You're no longer a virgin once you have sex for the first time.

WELL IT HAS NOT HAPPENED TO ME BUT REST ASSURED SHE IS STILL A VIRGIN. SEX IS DEFINED AS PENETRATION BETWEEN A MALE AND A FEMALE. SO IN ORDER FOR HER TO BE DE-VIRGINIZED SHE WOULD TO HAVE SEX.
