Im trying to play final fantasy 7 for ps1 on my slaystation 2 system. for some reason, it wont save on the ps2 memory card. i tried a ps1 madcatz memory card, but i suspect it isnt working at the performance it should be... how do i save it?

It's agreed that MadCatz is worth the money you pay for it. Cheap accessories make for poor performance.

Easy way to save, get a PS1 memory card and plug it into the spot for the memory card. Play game and save like normal. Easy as pie.

I have a used ps1 memory card that I bought at a computer store. They're cheaper and usually good quality. With that I can save any ps1 game that I play on my ps2. Hope that helps!

I applaud the good game choice, other than that, you must save psone games to a psone card, and ps2 games to a ps2 card. Hope this helps. Oh, and by the way, avoid madcatz like the plague. However, all PS2 memory cards are made by the same company "MagicGate"

You must have a Playstation 1 memory card.
(BTW: Don't trust Mad Catz too much, i have used 2 link cables from them and both have stopped working after about 2-3 uses

Simple answer..... Get a new PS1 memory card. oh and never buy madcatz...... not worth the money
