1. Dwayne Wade - this list always fluctuates, but when you single handedly will your team to a championship like Wade did, you're worthy of claiming the top seat.
2. Kobe Bryant - best one-on-one player in the game. I hate him, but he's really stepped it up to another level the past couple years.
3. Lebron James - some people are going to hate this pick, and Lebron could sure learn to play better defense, but offensively he's the entire team.
4. Kevin Garnett - don't let the Wolves record fool you, Garnett does everything on both ends of the floor.
5. Tim Duncan - though not flashy, he's dominant and has led the Spurs into a dynasty era
Just missing the list:
Nowtizki - a matchup nightmare and underrated, but lacks post game, lateral defense, passing and too many other things to be considered a top five.
Allen - VERY underrated. If he were better defensively, he might be more of a candidate.
T-Mac - he's got an incomplete score. He hasn't been able to do it much in the playoffs (other than the '04-'05 season) and he's injury proned.
Nash - GREAT offensive player, but HORRIBLE defender.
Iverson - fearless and crafty and quick, but just misses the list.
Pierce - his game is the outside shot and using his size to get to the rim/foul line against smaller guards. Needs to prove he can play in an offensive system and lead his team to more success.
Shaq O'Neal - it's really hard not to include Shaq in the list of top five. His skill isn't what it used to be, but he's still the biggest matchup problem in the league for any coach.
