While all you say about Jesus is true and I consider Him a hero...I have to say my hero is really my son. He is smart and so kind. He inspires me.

I would have to say that Jesus Christ is definitely my hero. He didn't just die for me over 2,000 years ago, He is also my best friend today. He has helped me through all of my life. I know that He cares about me and that He will always love me no matter what.

My greatest hero (besides our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) is my brother - he joined the United States Marine Corps in 2003 for the Delayed Entry Program. Our school rescheduled the graduation, and so he never got to attend his gradution ceremony, and the school wouldn't read his name either. He joined even though he knew that war was iminent, and that he would more than likely have to go to Iraq. My brother is awesome.

I can see where you are coming from, but Jesus is much more than a hero to me. There are a lot of heroes in this world, but if I had to pick one, I'd try not to pick someone who meant more than that to me. My parents were heroic in my eyes, but I won't pick them because they also mean so much more to me. A hero should be someone who lived, and in some cases, died for what they believed in, and in so doing, stand as a symbol to others, regardless of creed. Thye shoud not be someone we love, since that is even a greater power, but someone who's actions and words mean more to us than any other person whom we do not have a relationship with.
That said, my two heroes would be The Rev. Martin Luther King, and the Unknown Soldier, who rests in peace, having stood for all of our troops, throughout time.

My hero is my father. He worked his whole life in a mill to support his four children, and put his life dreams on the back-burner until us kids grew and left the house. He always wanted to go to school to be a hairdresser (and NO he wasnt gay, he just like doing hair!!) He finally got the chance to go to school, at age 46, and ended up having a heart attack and dying at the age of 47. He was still taking classes for hairdressing at the time of his death, and never got to finish his life-long dream. It is sad he didn't get to finish his schooling, but I had never seen him so happy in my life. My dad is my hero for showing me you can accomplish anything you want and be anything you want and do anything you want, no matter what. He did end up getting rewarded his license in hairdressing after his untimely death...it was given to my mother who in-turn sent him with it to his final resting place.
