I hope I understand the question. I live on the west coast and I think many of the soaps try to do real life stories, Breast Cancer, Drug Addition/ alcohol, tobacco, narcotics. Rape, child kidnapping, and entertainment. For many this is a very good source of relaxation. I enjoy all of the ABC soaps, I have watched other networks but I think these are the best.

Emmerdale is crap but Eastenders is addictive, just wish Grant would come back!!!!
