I want to find another job but don't remember all details about my jobs over the past. And I don't want to ask my employer because I don't want them to suspect anything. Does the government have this information?

Most places just want your past 10 year history. Anything over that chances are they are not going to check the reference.

You don't need a lot of information. What they really look for is: length of time at those jobs, what kind of duties you preformed and lulls or breaks between jobs.

Address and phone number that they may be able to check the reference you should be able to find in the phone book.

If you do not remember the job...Chances are they wont care if you list it.

Get a free credit report. It should list your jobs and your prospective employer will cross reference that before anything else such as SS records.

It /may/ be available through your local unemployment office IF you ever used them for job placement. Also, if you have ever used a temp services agency, they can give you that info as well. You could also look at your past tax information (1040s) to see the employers you placed on each one. It will be complete with their addresses.
