People in general are afraid of change. When things change, it means that their whole world could be threatened. It's the same thing that happened when blacks were allowed to attended public school with whites.

Could be people don't like change. I think that the people that are really outspoken on the subject and deadset against it are having homo feelings themselves. They are just trying to convience themselves and everyone else that they are straight. It could also be that they had a bad experience when they were younger with a gay person, therefore they come to the conclusion that all gays are bad and don't deserve happiness. (I know someone who had one of these experiences) Of course this isn't true bad experiences have happened to many of us from non gay persons. I just feel that if they are happy, then I'm happy too. The more happy people on this planet the better it is for all of us. As to marrying animals next, that is strange...I just hope they don't consummate that.

Because they can't think of a good reason that makes logical sense to ban gay marriages. I think people should focus more on how to get rid of the pedophiles. They are the sick bastards that would be more likely to turn to beastiality. Getting turned on by a person of the same sex is not a threat, getting turned on by a child is a threat and it's sick!

It makes a mockery of the engagement of marriage! I have no problem with 2 people wanting to love one another, but marriage is meant to be joint venture between a MAN and a WOMAN, especially in the eyes of the Lord.
I have several gay friends who actually agree with me!

I believe there is reason to recognize same sex partnerships, but to group it as marriage is contrary to its intent and another nail in the coffin of the traditional family. I am not familiar with the bestiality thing, that's apples and oranges...definitely should not be allowed to mix, perhaps it brings the obvious question up, were are moral values heading...to what extent will humans socially experiment.

Because no one is willing to look outside the box. we live in a "box" world, where if it is unusual it is WRONG. People need to realize we all want to be happy. Besides lawyers should get on the bandwagon with this...they're will be a larger divorce rate once gay marriage is legal. = )

It is different. It also has tradition on the run. As far as people getting married to animals. That's already occured. (see Jerry Springer's previous discs for the man who married the horse.) (smile)

Hey you never know, sooner or later they might be married to animals. I don't take it as a threat, but I think that those people need help. God created adam and eve not adam and steve.

the acceptance of things that are not natural, i.e. homosexuality, beastiality, pedophilia, sadism, masochism....., has always in history preceded the downfall of a society, nation, country. that's not to say that every government that has fallen fell prey to these things, but those that accepted them did.
