I have damaged my sim card and it won't work at all. If I buy a new sim would I be able to have my old number transferred to the new sim and would I receive any text messages I have had since the sim was damaged?

Yes u can get ur number transferred but they will charge a fee for the SIM card.Unfortunately u won't be able to get any of the old text messages back since the old card was damaged, but the new ones that u haven't checked should show up.Take the phone to the carriers store and they should have ur phone back up and running in about 5-15 min.

You could get your number transferred to your new sim, just contact your network provider. The problem with missed texts is that they only stay on the system for a maximum of 7 days.
