I can easily see flying being quicker. Instead of flying on a plateau level (which is time consuming and an inefficient use of fuel), we will be flying upward and then downward, like the ^ symbol. This way, we can get from NY to Tokyo in 2 hours and from NY to Sydney in 3 hours. This will also reduce the commute time from NY to London in under an hour, thereby increasing overseas work.
