I would put rubbing alcohal on a safety pin and then slowly and carefully try making a space on the area and pull the hair out with the safety pin. It will probably hurt, but it will feel so much better when it is finished! I found some liquid you can put on right after you shave so it will prevent the ingrown hairs and itchiness and redness from shaving. It's called TendSkin. Go to their website and check it out. Expensive, but so worth it!! It also works as a sunscreen and deorderant. tendskin.com

There are 2 good options that are not painful. One is to use an exfoliating scrub as you would on your face. It will remove the dead layer of skin to bring the hair out. Also, get a bikini area cream, or use some benzoyl peroxide solution to get rid of the infection quickly. Using bikini cream after a shave/wax will help keep the problem to a minimum.

Hi, Actually if none of those other suggestions work, a Facial Salon that does waxing has a product that will help the skin and hair to exfoliate. Ouch....
